Technologist

About the role

The Technologist will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, plan, and optimise plastic and silicone moulding processes, ensuring safe, sustainable, and high‑quality production.

Key responsibilities

• Plan production tasks, develop product designs, blueprints and process sheets, and establish machining processes.
• Troubleshoot processes, perform measurements, and identify causes of malfunctions.
• Study blueprints and process sheets to plan machining, coach production staff, and adjust tools for manual and computerised equipment.
• Manage stock inventory, place and expedite purchase orders, analyse forecasts, and verify stock receipt.
• Provide input to design and implementation plans, ensure compliance with safety procedures, and monitor quality checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Plastic Materials or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of experience in plastic injection, semiconductor molding, or silicone molding.
• Strong knowledge of injection‑moulding processes and effective problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent communication skills in English and French (oral & written).
• Ability to work in a factory environment with polymers, solder fumes, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and heat‑generating equipment.

Required skills

• Horizontal Injection Molding and Liquid Injection Molding.
• Advanced operation of injection‑moulding machines (SSD, ARBURG, FANUC, ENGEL).
• Advanced handling of industrial robots (SEPRO, ARBURG, ENGEL, WITTMANN).
• Basic programming in C and C++.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
