Test and Validation Engineer – HIL Automotive

About the role

ALTEN Delivery Center Morocco is looking for a Test and Validation Engineer to join its automotive team. You will focus on Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) testing of embedded systems, ensuring that electronic control units (ECUs) meet performance, reliability and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop test cases for automotive ECUs and subsystems on HIL platforms.
• Execute validation campaigns and verify compliance with system requirements and specifications.
• Troubleshoot HIL benches, update simulation models and maintain test scenarios.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python, CAPL or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Integrate test cases into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Analyze test results, generate detailed reports and track defect trends.
• Validate communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet and ensure adherence to ISO 26262, ASPICE and OEM guidelines.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in embedded systems or related engineering field.
• Proven experience in HIL test and validation for automotive applications.
• Strong knowledge of automotive functionalities and electronic systems (sensors, actuators, ECUs).
• Excellent English communication skills.
