Unit Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Pestana Hotel Group is looking for a dynamic Unit Manager to lead daily operations at its Tangier property. You will be responsible for overseeing all hotel departments, ensuring smooth service delivery, and driving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise staff across reception, kitchen, housekeeping, and office functions, setting clear objectives.
• Plan activities and allocate responsibilities to optimise the operating model.
• Assist in budget and expense management, analyse financial data, and monitor sales and profit targets.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the hotel’s services.
• Interact with guests, address complaints, provide information, and ensure a high‑quality experience.
• Resolve maintenance issues, staffing shortages, and equipment gaps.
• Collaborate with suppliers, event planners, and other external partners.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and enforce health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Operational Manager, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.
• Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, French and English.
• Strong understanding of hotel management best practices.
• Degree in Business Administration, Hotel/Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Excellent decision‑making, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure with great attention to detail.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• Familiarity with hotel management software (any platform).
