WordPress & LearnDash Developer – Future Technical Lead

About the role

Metister Academy is building a multilingual online learning platform and needs a WordPress and LearnDash specialist who can become the long‑term technical owner. The role starts with a freelance trial and may evolve into a permanent position within a future Moroccan company.

Key responsibilities

• Review the existing WordPress site, identify and fix technical, UX, performance, and configuration gaps.
• Migrate and deploy the site on Cloudways, ensuring stability and security.
• Complete LearnDash LMS architecture, configure courses, learning paths, groups, permissions, certificates, and reporting.
• Set up the e‑commerce layer (WooCommerce, Stripe/PayPal) for course sales, including checkout flow, coupons, and subscription options.
• Integrate Bunny Stream, GrassBlade xAPI Companion, Tin Canny Reporting, video lessons, and SCORM 1.2 packages.
• Create reusable course and lesson templates and maintain documentation and admin manuals.
• Manage staging, production deployments, backups, updates, and performance monitoring.
• Advise on plugin choices, platform scalability, and future roadmap items such as B2B client areas and AI‑assisted learning.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional WordPress development experience.
• Proven experience with LearnDash, including course progression, reporting, and SCORM tracking.
• Experience with managed WordPress hosting, preferably Cloudways.
• Ability to work remotely from Morocco and communicate effectively in English.
