Account Manager - End User (French-speaking Africa)

About the role

Rockwell Automation is hiring an Account Manager for its European unit, reporting to the Gulf & North Africa Sales Director. The role promotes the sale of Rockwell Automation solutions, products and services to prospective and existing end-user customers in the French-speaking African region, building long-term relationships and coordinating each account, including account planning and targets.

Key responsibilities

• Sell at senior management and executive levels, showing the economic value of products, information software and services
• Develop and implement account plans and achieve and exceed the annual sales target
• Identify opportunities, present quotes and proposals, negotiate and close orders
• Coordinate the efforts of Rockwell Automation resources to deliver solutions to customers
• Prepare quotes, proposals and contracts in line with company policies and standards
• Manage a pipeline of opportunities, handle objections and negotiate profitable deals
• Advise on pricing, specifications, warranties and product adaptation, and collaborate with sales teams to increase market penetration

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in an engineering or technical field, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in a technology-based organization
• Local language skills plus active English (verbal and written)
• Driving licence
• Experience in IIoT, cybersecurity, software and annual recurring revenue subscription models is preferred
• Knowledge of mining, oil and gas and industrial production processes is preferred
