Accountant (Finance & Accounting)

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Morocco. The successful candidate will manage the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting the company’s financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete and compliant general and analytical accounting records.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closings with precision.
• Prepare and review tax declarations, including VAT, corporate income tax, and personal income tax.
• Oversee the sales‑collection cycle: validate, allocate, and follow up on client invoices.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
• Ensure traceability and rigorous archiving of all accounting documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1‑3 years of experience in an accounting firm or corporate environment.
• Strong organizational skills, rigor, and ability to work under pressure.
• Analytical mindset with proactive problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• In‑depth knowledge of Moroccan accounting and tax regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Sage Accounting.
• Experience with Commercial Management tools.
• Advanced Excel skills.
