Accounting Assistant

About the role

Exval, a tourism transportation company, is looking for a full‑time Accounting Assistant to join its finance team in Marrakesh. The position is hybrid, combining on‑site work with occasional remote days, and supports daily accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Prepare basic financial reports and reconcile bank and account statements.
• Organise documentation to ensure it is up‑to‑date and compliant.
• Collaborate with the finance team on month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding payments and invoices.
• Follow established procedures to meet internal controls and local regulations.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of core financial principles and bookkeeping.
• Experience assisting in the preparation and review of financial statements.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as ERP or bookkeeping systems.
• Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail and ability to work accurately under time constraints.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet tools; basic data analysis is a plus.
• Relevant education in Accounting, Finance or a related field; prior experience in an accounting support role is preferred.
