Advisor, Cash, Livelihoods and Child Poverty

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking an experienced Advisor to provide strategic and technical leadership for Cash, Livelihoods and Child Poverty programming across its global portfolio. The role will shape standards, guide country offices and represent the organization in international forums.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership for Cash, Livelihoods and Child Poverty programmes, ensuring alignment with SCI strategy and donor requirements.
• Act as the primary technical focal point for country offices, supporting design, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of inclusive programmes.
• Develop, maintain and apply global technical standards, guidance and tools for the thematic areas.
• Lead situational assessments and response analyses for major emergency responses.
• Drive the Cash‑Plus innovation and evidence agenda.
• Represent Save the Children in global forums, clusters and inter‑agency groups.
• Provide matrix technical leadership, supervise technical staff during deployments, manage consultants and lead the global Community of Practice.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Cash and Voucher Assistance, livelihoods programming and child poverty interventions in humanitarian and development contexts.
• Proven ability to develop and apply global technical standards and quality‑assurance processes.
• Strong analytical skills for situational assessments and response planning.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% and work in a hybrid/remote setting.
• Right to work in the country of assignment.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) and Cash‑Plus approaches.
• Knowledge of evidence‑based programme design and monitoring.
• Experience developing guidance, tools and standards for large‑scale programmes.
