Advocacy Manager (contract) – Join Our Talent Pool

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking an experienced Advocacy Manager to join its Global Expertise and Humanitarian Surge Platform (GEHSP) roster. This contract position will be rapidly deployed to support humanitarian‑response advocacy work‑streams in emergency contexts worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies for sudden‑onset emergencies and longer‑term humanitarian issues.
• Act as Save the Children’s global lead on humanitarian‑response advocacy, representing the organization at national, regional and international forums.
• Manage all advocacy initiatives related to a response, including coordination with the Humanitarian Advocacy Working Group (HAWG), country offices and response teams.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for advocacy enquiries from Save the Children members and partners.
• Provide strategic advice, guidance and technical expertise to support advocacy planning and execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian or development advocacy, preferably within an international NGO.
• Ability to work under pressure and deploy quickly to crisis‑affected locations.
• Strong understanding of advocacy processes, policy influence and stakeholder engagement at multiple levels.
• Excellent communication and representation skills for external and internal audiences.
