Advocacy Manager (Contract) – Talent Pool

About the role

The Advocacy Manager will join Save the Children’s Global Expertise and Humanitarian Surge Platform (GEHSP) as a contract professional ready for rapid deployment. The role supports the development and implementation of humanitarian‑response advocacy work‑streams, acting as the global lead for advocacy on behalf of the Humanitarian Advocacy Working Group, country offices and response teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of advocacy strategies for emergency responses, both nationally and internationally.
• Represent Save the Children externally with governments, UN agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Provide timely advice and guidance to country offices and response teams on advocacy matters.
• Coordinate advocacy enquiries across the organization and ensure consistent messaging.
• Monitor and report on advocacy outcomes and impact throughout the response cycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian or development advocacy, preferably in emergency contexts.
• Strong understanding of child protection and humanitarian principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to evolving situations.
