AI Intern – Venture Capital & Technology

About the role

Renew Capital, a pan‑Africa investment firm, is looking for an AI Intern to help explore, prototype and operationalise artificial‑intelligence tools that boost internal workflows, research and data analysis. The role sits at the intersection of technology and venture‑capital operations, offering hands‑on experience in a fast‑moving investment environment.

Key responsibilities

• Research emerging AI platforms and assess their potential to improve productivity.
• Develop and test AI‑driven solutions for automation, data processing and knowledge management.
• Integrate AI tools into daily operations and build simple AI‑powered workflows using platforms such as Gemini.
• Create internal guidelines, documentation and training materials for responsible AI usage.
• Support experimentation with AI for document summarisation, data analysis and workflow optimisation.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field.
• Strong interest in artificial intelligence, automation and emerging technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Curiosity, initiative and the ability to work independently on new solutions.

Required skills

• Familiarity with AI tools such as Gemini and ChatGPT.
• Basic understanding of data analysis and automation tools.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering is a plus.
