Aircraft Mechanic 2 AH-64 (Morocco)

About the role

The AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 performs maintenance and inspections on AH-64 systems in line with FAA standards, carrying out the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance. The position involves repairing, assembling and modifying aircraft, their major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components and related systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, connect and adjust complete systems such as fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine and transmission, and install and align fuselage parts.
• Balance, align and install tail rotor assemblies and rig complete flight control systems.
• Incorporate authorized modifications and changes.
• Perform operational checks of hydraulic and fuel systems using external power sources and powered ground equipment.
• Inspect and troubleshoot to find the cause of malfunctions, disassemble to the point of trouble, and adjust, repair, realign or replace defective components or assemblies.
• Direct lower-graded mechanics in the complete assembly, modification and checkout of the aircraft and coordinate with general mechanics and sheet metal trades.
• Prepare maintenance forms and records and carry out additional duties as required.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Five or more years of aviation maintenance experience on the AH-64, preferably within the last five years.
• A&P or FCC license not required but preferred.
• NAC-I T1 Public Trust clearance; US citizenship required for facility credentials at the work location, and a valid passport for deployment to Morocco.
• Medical and vaccination requirements apply, coordinated via the recruiter.

Required skills

• Good communication skills and adaptability, with the ability to troubleshoot entire aircraft systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems principles.
• Knowledge of quality control, production and supply procedures.
• Ability to read, apply and interpret technical data.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, work in a noisy, drafty and dirty shop, and pass a respirator fit test.
