Aircraft Mechanic 2 – AH‑64 Maintenance

About the role

The AH‑64 Aircraft Mechanic (AM‑2) is responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, and modifications on AH‑64 helicopters to FAA and DoD standards. The role supports full‑range tactical aircraft upkeep and ensures operational readiness for deployment to Morocco.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, assembly, and modification on AH‑64 and other DoD aircraft, including major assemblies, sub‑assemblies, and components.
• Install, connect, and adjust systems such as fuel, hydraulic, lubrication, engine, transmission, and flight‑control components.
• Incorporate authorized modifications, conduct operational checks, and troubleshoot malfunctions to determine repair or replacement needs.
• Direct lower‑graded mechanics and coordinate with related trades to ensure proper assembly sequence.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance forms, records, and documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of aviation maintenance experience on the AH‑64, preferably within the last five years.
• U.S. citizenship required for facility credentials; valid passport for deployment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain NAC‑I T1 Public Trust clearance.
• Physical ability to work in austere, noisy, and dirty environments and lift objects over 50 lb.
