AML Analyst

About the role

Taptap Send is looking for an AML Analyst to join its compliance team in Casablanca. Reporting to the MLRO, you will work closely with heads of compliance and the broader financial crime team to safeguard the platform against money‑laundering, terrorist financing and corruption risks.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate high‑risk transactions using internal technology and third‑party software.
• Review potentially sanctioned customers, recipients, and politically exposed persons.
• Conduct customer investigations, establish rapport, and document findings.
• Escalate suspicious activity to the MLRO, providing clear rationale and defence of decisions.
• Perform due‑diligence on customers to assess risk profiles.
• Respond to information requests from local authorities.
• Support the counter‑fraud team as needed.

Required profile

• Good understanding of general AML legislation and regulations.
• At least 1 year of experience in a regulated financial institution.
• Familiarity with sanctions screening and politically exposed persons (PEP) checks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers during investigations.

Required skills

• Analytical assessment of transaction risk.
• Use of AML monitoring tools and third‑party screening software.
• Documentation and reporting of suspicious activity.
