Assistant Manager Housekeeping & Laundry

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee housekeeping and laundry operations at our Marriott hotel in Fes. This entry‑level management position supports daily activities, ensures guest satisfaction, and helps maintain the operating budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage housekeeping operations, budgets and inventory of supplies and linen.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and loss‑prevention policies.
• Coordinate room cleaning assignments, communicate room status to the Front Desk, and work with Engineering on maintenance needs.
• Supervise inspections of guest rooms and public areas, providing feedback to staff.
• Oversee lost‑and‑found procedures and maintain proper uniform and equipment distribution.
• Act as the point of contact for guest complaints, review comment cards and promote exceptional service.
• Provide leadership in the absence of the Director of Services or Housekeeping Manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least one year of housekeeping experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Inventory and budget management.
• Understanding of loss‑prevention procedures.
• Ability to supervise inspections and provide performance feedback.
