Assistant Professor – Design Projects & Integrative Teaching

About the role

Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) seeks an Assistant Professor to lead design projects and integrative teaching across its Engineering Cycle and Bachelor programs. The role combines curriculum development, industry collaboration, and student mentorship within the College of Chemical Sciences & Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead design projects and integrative modules, from sourcing industrial topics to final defence.
• Teach and supervise process design content, including material and energy balances, equipment sizing, and technical/economic evaluation.
• Contribute to integrative projects for the Integrated Preparatory Cycle and oversee end‑of‑study projects and industrial internships.
• Support teaching teams in deploying project‑based and challenge‑based formats, working with Track Coordinators.
• Manage an annual teaching load of 100–150 hours across multiple programmes, including Doctoral Training and Executive Education.
• Provide academic advising on course selection and career orientation.

Required profile

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Process Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching at the university level, preferably with project‑based learning.
• Ability to collaborate with industry partners and supervise student research.
• Affiliation with one of the College’s R&D entities will be determined at appointment.
