About the role

The College of Chemical Sciences & Engineering at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks an Assistant Professor to lead its Data Science and Artificial Intelligence teaching track. The role combines curriculum design, classroom instruction, and supervision of student research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate computing and data modules, including computer science fundamentals, algorithms, programming, numerical analysis, data science, and machine learning.
• Design and deliver an AI teaching track covering data management, reproducibility, and applied machine learning for chemistry, materials, and process engineering.
• Supervise data‑driven modelling and simulation projects and contribute to digital components of integrative design projects.
• Provide academic advising, supervise laboratory work, internships, end‑of‑study projects, and contribute to pedagogical committees.
• Develop teaching materials, laboratory experiments, and assessment methods across preparatory, engineering, bachelor, doctoral, and executive programs.

Required profile

• Strong background in data science, artificial intelligence, or related engineering fields.
• Experience teaching at the university level and supervising student projects.
• Ability to collaborate with one of the College’s R&D entities based on expertise and institutional priorities.
