About the role

The Materials Science and Nano‑engineering (MSN) department at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks a permanent Assistant Professor to lead research and teaching in materials, electrochemistry, and corrosion science. The role is based in the Smart and Functional Materials Cluster on the UM6P campus in Benguerir.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain independent research programs focused on fundamental and applied aspects of corrosion and materials engineering.
• Lead collaborative projects with industry partners and secure external funding.
• Supervise undergraduate, master’s and PhD students, fostering a high‑performing research team.
• Deliver graduate‑level courses and seminars in corrosion science or related subjects.
• Publish research findings in high‑impact journals and present at international conferences.

Required profile

• PhD in Materials Science, Electrochemistry, Corrosion Science or a closely related field.
• Minimum of five years of post‑doctoral research experience.
• Demonstrated record of leading multidisciplinary projects and supervising graduate students.
• Teaching experience at the graduate level in corrosion or related topics.
• Strong commitment to academic excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration.
