Assistant Professor – Micro-Launcher Technology & Propulsion

About the role

The position focuses on designing and testing small‑scale launch vehicles and propulsion systems within the Morocco Aerospace Research Institute (MARI‑SPACE). The successful candidate will lead experimental research on hybrid and solid propulsion, payload deployment mechanisms, and micro‑launcher development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prototype micro‑launch vehicles and associated propulsion systems.
• Conduct experimental tests on hybrid and solid propulsion technologies.
• Develop and evaluate payload deployment mechanisms for CubeSat missions.
• Supervise laboratory activities and mentor graduate students.
• Publish research findings in reputable journals and conferences.

Required profile

• PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands‑on experimental experience with small‑scale propulsion systems.
• Strong knowledge of launch dynamics and orbital mechanics.
• Proven record of scientific publications and lab supervision.
