Associate Data Science Manager

About the role

Leyton CognitX is seeking an Associate Data Science Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of data‑driven products and services. You will work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to translate business challenges into scalable AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and evolve data domains and products that meet company needs.
• Drive change‑management initiatives and continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with product management to define road‑maps and accelerate engineering velocity.
• Maintain team cohesion, motivation, and clear career pathways.
• Design, develop, and implement methods, processes, and systems for consolidating and analysing structured and unstructured data.
• Oversee daily operational activities, resource allocation, and tactical planning.
• Set SMART objectives for the team and ensure their achievement.
• Provide operational support, define work instructions, and address process deficiencies.
• Ensure agile SCRUM practices and deliver work products on time, on budget.
• Manage recruitment needs for the project.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, IT Project Management or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 1‑2 years of experience in project management.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Curious, honest, ambitious, team‑oriented, innovative, rigorous, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
