Associate Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracting

About the role

Boston Consulting Group is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to join its Global Legal Team. You will support commercial contracting activities across Morocco and the broader Africa region, working closely with senior lawyers and business stakeholders to protect BCG’s interests while enabling commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including client contracts, vendor agreements, master services agreements, licensing, NDAs, and partnership deals.
• Identify legal and commercial risks in contracts and propose practical solutions, escalating complex matters when needed.
• Collaborate with Finance and business teams to manage the contract lifecycle and ensure timely execution.
• Apply BCG’s contracting standards, policies, and risk‑management practices throughout each transaction.
• Support initiatives to improve contracting processes, templates, and operational efficiency.
• Provide legal advice on technology transactions, intellectual property, data protection, competition law, and other commercial matters.
• Build strong relationships across Legal, Finance, and business units to align legal support with commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Law degree with a strong interest in commercial law.
• Ability to balance legal judgment with business objectives in a fast‑moving international environment.
• Excellent attention to detail when reviewing contracts.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Knowledge of technology transactions, IP, data protection, and competition law.
• Proficiency in applying contractual risk‑management frameworks.
