Automated Driving Validation Test Engineer (L2-L3)

About the role

Stellantis is looking for an Automated Driving Virtual Validation engineer to work on L2-L3 test activities within its Software Organization (SWx), which is building the company's digital transformation and investing in automated driving. The role sits in the Deterministic Validation branch of Core SW Virtual Verification & Validation, validating the customer function requirements of L2+/L3 features.

Key responsibilities

• Create deterministic validation test cases and run them locally with simulations and toolchains (SIL/HIL)
• Write test cases in the ALM tool and automate tests with Python scripts
• Debug and resolve issues during execution using the required AD tools
• Evaluate new pipelines entering the company and give structured feedback to the team lead
• Support the team in resolving problems raised by test pattern files and work cross-functionally to identify risks
• Be proactive, communicate and brainstorm new ideas, and improve the existing framework

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited); Master's preferred
• 3 to 5 years of experience
• English at C1 level (fluency)
• Proven experience using simulators or commercial simulation tools for ADAS/AD
• Experience validating ADAS features with automated test suites and system test validation aligned with ADAS/AD requirements

Required skills

• 3 years of Python coding for test automation scripts
• Demonstrated knowledge of software testing toolsets and languages, and of test case execution
• Preferred: knowledge of ADAS/Autonomous Driving features and electronic architectures
• Preferred: JSON, OpenScenario and OpenDrive scenario files, simulator APIs in Python, and test platforms such as SIL/HIL
• Preferred: Docker, Airflow, Jenkins, MATLAB/Simulink, Carsim
