Automotive System Engineer (MBSE & ADAS)

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for an Automotive System Engineer to design, develop and validate complex automotive systems in a multidisciplinary engineering environment. The role combines systems engineering and ADAS expertise to deliver solutions that meet high standards of quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define, develop and document automotive system architectures using MBSE methodologies and modeling tools (SysML, DOORS, Cameo), aligned with vehicle-level requirements, ISO 26262 safety standards and client specifications.
• Contribute to the design, integration and validation of ADAS systems across perception, decision-making and actuation, ensuring compliance with functional safety and cybersecurity requirements (ISO 21434).
• Capture, analyze and manage system requirements throughout the development cycle, working with software, hardware, mechanical and validation teams to ensure system integration and traceability.

Required profile

• Master's degree (BAC+5) in Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in automotive system engineering, ideally within OEM or Tier 1 supplier environments.
• Full professional proficiency in English and French, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• MBSE tools and methodologies (SysML, Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM DOORS)
• Solid understanding of ADAS systems architecture
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 (functional safety) and ASPICE process frameworks
