Backend Java/Spring Boot Developer (Camunda 8)

About the role

Talan is seeking an experienced Backend Java/Spring Boot Developer with hands‑on knowledge of Camunda 8 to join its engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services while implementing business workflows using Camunda BPMN in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Create and optimise business workflows with Camunda 8 BPMN.
• Build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Participate in technical design discussions and influence architecture decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑documented code following best practices.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality.
• Engage in code reviews, quality‑assurance activities, and Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and support software releases.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with Camunda 8 and BPMN workflow modelling.
• Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Comfort working in Agile teams and participating in design reviews.
