Base / E-Base Engineer – High Voltage Substation Design

About the role

We are looking for a Base / E‑Base Engineer to design and maintain high‑voltage electrical documentation for 110 kV / 15 kV substations. The role involves creating detailed schematics, managing system interfaces and ensuring compliance with electrical standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑voltage electrical drawings and documentation using Engineering Base (E‑Base).
• Create and update single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, terminal plans and interconnection schematics.
• Define and manage interfaces between switchgear, protection, control‑command and auxiliary AC/DC power supplies.
• Produce engineering deliverables such as cable schedules, signal lists, equipment lists and technical reports.
• Analyze customer requirements and verify compliance with applicable standards and project specifications.
• Perform technical reviews, assess design changes and evaluate their impact on substation architecture.
• Support troubleshooting activities, conduct root‑cause analysis and propose technical solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, meeting minutes and design documentation in English.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• 5–7 years of experience in HV/MV substation design (senior level).
• Strong knowledge of high‑voltage and medium‑voltage substations and electrical distribution systems.
• Experience creating and reviewing high‑voltage electrical drawings.
• Good understanding of protection, control‑command and auxiliary power supply systems.
• Ability to translate technical specifications into clear engineering deliverables.
• Familiarity with electrical standards and best‑practice engineering processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Engineering Base (E‑Base) for creating and managing electrical schematics.
• High‑voltage electrical engineering and HV/MV substation design.
• Electrical drawing creation (single‑line, wiring, terminal, interconnection).
• Knowledge of protection, control‑command and auxiliary power systems.
