Buyer – Competitive Benchmark & Emerging Markets Sourcing

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Buyer to lead competitive benchmark data management and emerging‑markets sourcing initiatives for our automotive portfolio. The role combines market analysis, cost optimisation, supplier development and cross‑functional project leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and communicate competitive automotive benchmark data from Europe and North Africa.
• Identify cost‑optimisation opportunities related to supplier footprint and regional capabilities.
• Develop business cases and sourcing strategies for emerging‑market opportunities in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Initiate contacts with new suppliers, conduct onsite/virtual scouting, and manage onboarding and relationship building.
• Lead cross‑functional project teams and ensure alignment with local and remote stakeholders.
• Prepare executive presentations and regular reports for senior management.
• Monitor country‑specific risks (e.g., weather, geopolitical events) affecting the supply chain.
• Handle Tangier office services, travel arrangements, expense reporting and local supplier selection for office needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in automotive procurement, benchmarking and emerging‑market sourcing.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into strategic insights.
• Excellent communication skills for executive reporting and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel for supplier scouting and on‑site visits.
