Buyer – English Speaking Procurement Specialist

About the role

METRACO is seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented Buyer who is fluent in English and French. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end‑to‑end procurement process, ensuring product quality, availability, and cost competitiveness across the company’s portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Source and select suppliers, negotiate contracts and pro‑formas, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Handle purchase orders, process them in the ERP system, follow up execution, and generate reporting for products and spare parts.
• Analyze supplier offers, conduct product comparisons, and identify sourcing opportunities.
• Review supplier samples, prepare testing reports, and manage product data such as artwork, labels, translations, codes, technical sheets, and catalogs.
• Create items, barcodes, and serial numbers within the ERP system.
• Coordinate with internal teams (design, after‑sales, import, logistics, e‑commerce) and external partners.
• Improve processes by optimizing workflows, databases, templates, checklists, and guidelines.
• Ensure proper use of purchasing tools and compliance with international trade procedures.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in International Trade or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing and international trade.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong analytical abilities, rigor, teamwork, and initiative.
• Immediate availability is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced use of office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Negotiation techniques.
