Buyer – Procurement & Supplier Management

About the role

Alstom is seeking a full‑time Buyer to join its Fez team. You will apply your procurement and supplier‑management expertise in a fast‑moving rail industry environment, working closely with engineering, quality and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and launch Requests for Quotations (RFQs) with suppliers.
• Lead project negotiations and present business awards.
• Promote and adhere to Alstom’s Code of Ethics.
• Coordinate projects with internal stakeholders to secure on‑time delivery and quality during ramp‑up phases.
• Support the development of commodity strategies and supplier panels.
• Represent commodities in projects, platforms and solutions.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Assess supplier risks, implement mitigation plans and monitor CSR engagements.
• Apply Alstom procurement processes and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or Business (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Confirmed experience as a buyer in an industrial context.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and challenge the status quo.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Results‑driven with a structured and rigorous approach.
• Fluency in French and English.
