Buyer – Purchasing Operations

About the role

The local Buyer will manage all purchasing activities for direct raw material at Aptiv’s Connection Systems plant in Tangier, acting as the key interface between the EMEA purchasing team, suppliers and internal functions.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Aptiv purchasing with external suppliers for plant‑related activities and participate in local project teams for new launches, transfers and engineering changes.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials by monitoring system readiness, material supply and coordinating with EMEA purchasing to meet internal and external milestones.
• Maintain SAP purchasing data, including creation and upkeep of purchasing views, schedule agreements, purchase orders, vendor master data and pricing.
• Resolve blocked invoices and support plant operations in case of delivery issues with suppliers.
• Drive local cost‑reduction initiatives and support regional/global purchasing strategies.
• Assist in annual budget preparation for direct production material and provide management reports and key performance indicators.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with Aptiv procedures and legal regulations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and project‑management skills.
• Disciplined, assertive, independent and hands‑on attitude.
