Chief Engineer / Maintenance Manager – Hotel Facilities Leader

About the role

As a senior engineering leader within Hilton’s hotel portfolio, you will ensure that every guest experiences a safe, comfortable, and memorable stay by overseeing all building and systems maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, supervise and mentor a high‑performing maintenance team, conducting performance reviews and recognizing achievements.
• Maintain mechanical, electrical, HVAC and life‑safety systems, coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with national and local regulations.
• Prioritize daily maintenance tasks, manage service requests and emergencies through the property maintenance management system.
• Support capital projects and property rehabilitations, handling scheduling, budgeting, contractor bidding and permitting.
• Develop and lead property‑wide energy‑conservation programs to reduce utility costs.
• Monitor departmental KPIs such as equipment uptime, audit results and team productivity, implementing improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership on evacuation procedures, duty manager coverage and other safety protocols.
