Clinical Psychologist Intern

About the role

The Counseling Services at Al Akhawayn University is seeking a motivated Clinical Psychologist Intern to support student mental health and well‑being in a multicultural campus environment. This 6‑month (or longer) internship offers hands‑on experience under professional supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in providing psychological support and counseling to students.
• Conduct psychotherapy sessions and related activities.
• Help organize and facilitate psycho‑educational workshops.
• Contribute to mental‑health awareness and prevention campaigns.
• Participate in student well‑being initiatives.
• Support the design and implementation of mental‑health programs.
• Attend team meetings and professional development activities.
• Perform administrative and organizational tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling or a related field.
• Recent graduate or early‑career professional.
• Strong interest in mental health, counseling, and student support.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, empathy, and discretion skills.
• Ability to work in a multicultural university setting.
• Proficiency in English; French and/or Arabic are a plus.
• Availability for a minimum of six months.
