Clinical Psychologist - International Mobile Position

About the role

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is recruiting a Clinical Psychologist for its international pool of professionals, on a full-time fixed-term basis for each assignment. The post is mobile: the psychologist is assigned to an MSF mission anywhere in the world depending on needs, and international mobility is required. The advert is aimed at Moroccans or residents of Morocco seeking international experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide psychological support to patients according to MSF principles, standards and procedures, improving their mental health.
• Assess patients' mental health needs, establish diagnoses and treatment plans, explain conditions and medication to patients and their families, and refer them to other health professionals when needed.
• Implement the Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) protocol, identify potential survivors and refer them to the medical team.
• Deliver individual, family and group psychotherapy sessions according to MSF protocols.
• Train and support staff and community resource persons, and work closely with translators to ensure accurate communication.
• Collect and report statistical and monitoring data on mental health activities, and inform the supervisor and medical team of treatment issues.
• Ensure strict confidentiality of all patient information.

Required profile

• A recognized degree in Psychology.
• 3 to 4 years of professional experience as a Clinical Psychologist.
• Fluency in Arabic, French and English.
• Desirable: previous experience with MSF or other NGOs in developing countries.
• Strong willingness and ability to work internationally and adapt to humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to work with limited resources and in challenging conditions; a minimum availability of 6 to 9 months per assignment.
