Cloud & DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure-focused)

About the role

Mapersive is looking for a Cloud & DevOps Engineer to own and evolve its AWS‑based infrastructure. You will work on a platform that blends cloud, GIS, AI and large‑scale web applications, ensuring reliability, scalability and cost‑efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain AWS infrastructure for production applications and processing pipelines.
• Develop and manage Terraform modules across development, staging and production environments.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Containerize workloads using Docker and manage cloud‑based processing environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and incident investigation processes.
• Optimize cloud costs through monitoring, analysis and forecasting.
• Automate operational tasks with Python and Bash scripts.
• Occasionally contribute to Spring Boot backend and Angular frontend when infrastructure changes require code adjustments.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional experience in Cloud, DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services (compute, networking, IAM, storage, databases, monitoring).
• Practical experience with Terraform or another IaC tool.
• Solid Linux fundamentals and comfort working from the terminal.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Docker‑based workloads.
• Ability to automate tasks using Python, Bash or similar scripting languages.
• Proven skill in diagnosing production and infrastructure issues.
• Understanding of reliability, scalability, security and cost considerations in cloud environments.
