Commercial Lead - IVD North Africa Network

About the role

Roche is looking for a Commercial Lead to oversee business operations in the assigned countries within the North Africa Network. The role works closely with the distributor(s) to execute commercial strategies, drive revenue growth and market share, and expand the business presence and optimize distributor relationships. It may also cover special focus product lines and/or projects across the whole network.

Key responsibilities

• Market development: collaborate with distributors and Africa sub-region chapters to carry out market analysis and competition assessments, and help develop market entry strategies
• Sales and revenue: drive sales to meet revenue targets and market penetration goals, and run sales strategies, promotions and pricing
• Distributor relations: assess distributor performance, give guidance, support and training on brand guidelines, sales targets and contracts
• Channel development: evaluate existing channels and work with distributors on joint marketing and sales initiatives
• Customer relations: build relationships with key customers and decision-makers, and align commercial strategy with customer growth plans
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, finance, technical support, compliance and sub-regional chapters

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in life sciences, laboratory, biochemical, biomedical or equivalent
• More than 10 years of experience in sales and/or business development for the IVD market
• Experience working with distributors in North Africa
• Knowledge of IVD market dynamics and IVD products in North Africa

• Strong sales acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals with strong profit margins
• Stakeholder management, including communication, collaboration and negotiation
• Ability to lead a small team or work as an individual contributor
• Clear communication and presentation skills
