Country Manager - Morocco (DMC)

About the role

Magic Travels is a Destination Management Company offering premium and tailor-made travel experiences to international tour operators and travel agencies. It is opening a brand-new DMC office in Morocco and is looking for a Country Manager to build and lead it. This is a founder-style leadership role: you will set up the operation from the ground up and run it as a profit center.

The role is open only to experienced travel-industry professionals who have held a senior position in a DMC or inbound tour operator; applications from candidates without such experience or from junior profiles will not be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Build the Morocco office from scratch: structure, hiring, processes and day-to-day operations
• Negotiate and secure contracts with hotels, transport companies, guides and other suppliers
• Develop a portfolio of premium and tailor-made travel products and experiences
• Own the commercial relationship with international (notably European) source markets
• Manage the local P&L, budget and supplier costs
• Recruit, train and lead the local team

Required profile

• Proven senior/leadership experience in a DMC or inbound tour operator, with a minimum of 5 years in the travel/tourism industry
• Deep knowledge of the Moroccan destination and an established local network of suppliers and partners
• Track record in product development and high-end / tailor-made travel
• Experience working with European or international source markets
• Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable building something from the ground up
• Fluent in French and English (Arabic is a strong plus)
• Based in Morocco (Casablanca or Marrakech) or willing to relocate
