Cyber Security Engineer – Remote (5‑10 years experience)

About the role

AFRICASHORE is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join its remote team serving clients across Morocco and internationally. The role focuses on vulnerability management, risk assessment, and endpoint security to protect enterprise assets.

Key responsibilities

• Act as subject‑matter expert for CVA scanning, reporting, and remediation.
• Maintain the Vulnerability Management Life Cycle (VMLC) policy and associated standards.
• Execute vulnerability scans, triage findings, and rank risks by severity and exposure.
• Collaborate with product and IT teams to patch and mitigate vulnerabilities in the technology stack.
• Develop and maintain executive‑level dashboards and metrics reflecting security posture.
• Monitor configuration standards, manage compliance drift, and initiate improvement activities.
• Support periodic risk assessments and create mitigation plans.
• Stay informed on external threats, vendor patches, zero‑day exploits, and end‑of‑life systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cloud Computing or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in security engineering and development.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Go, Ruby).
• Strong knowledge of vulnerability management processes and endpoint security operations.
