Cyber Security Engineer (Staff/Lead Level)

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level Cyber Security Engineer to join A2MAC1’s Information Security & Compliance team in Casablanca. The role provides technical leadership across security architecture, cloud security, detection engineering and platform protection, helping to secure our global SaaS, cloud and AI‑driven automotive data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain security architectures, standards and engineering guardrails for cloud, endpoint, identity, DevSecOps, data and AI environments.
• Lead security engineering initiatives, translating strategy into scalable technical solutions and automation.
• Drive detection engineering, improve incident response and platform resilience, and work with the SOC to turn detections into long‑term engineering improvements.
• Design and implement security controls across software development pipelines and cloud platforms, supporting CI/CD, application and cloud security best practices.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk reduction and secure‑by‑design activities, and define security metrics, KPIs and telemetry.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cross‑functional engineering teams, promoting security standards.
• Support audit readiness and continuous compliance with relevant security frameworks and industry standards.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, cloud security or application security.
• Proven track record designing and implementing security controls for cloud and software platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft security stack (Azure, Defender, Sentinel, Entra, Purview) or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with SIEM solutions and detection engineering.
• Ability to collaborate with SOC, engineering and product teams to embed security throughout the development lifecycle.
