Data Analyst Intern – Remote

About the role

JHC Consulting is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to support a renewable-energy expansion project. Working fully remotely, you will assist senior consultants by researching and analysing data related to energy production, grid infrastructure and market pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Collect information from public records, client documents and industry sources.
• Clean and organise large data sets using spreadsheets.
• Identify underlying assumptions that drive client projections.
• Draft descriptive and argumentative sections of consulting memoranda based on your analysis.
• Ensure all data points are traceable and claims defensible.

Required profile

• Analytical mindset with strong written English communication.
• Foundational knowledge of data analysis and statistical concepts.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet tools for data cleaning and organisation.
• Ability to work independently and manage a remote schedule.
• Academic background in economics, finance, mathematics or a related field.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Required skills

• Excel (or equivalent spreadsheet software).
• Basic familiarity with SQL.
• Basic familiarity with Python.
