Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Data Engineer to join our team and support the design, construction and maintenance of data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. This position is ideal for a current university student eager to apply academic knowledge in a real‑world environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior data engineers to design, build and maintain ETL pipelines.
• Implement data processing solutions using GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub and Cloud Functions.
• Assist in integrating and transforming data from multiple sources.
• Help optimise performance and reliability of existing pipelines.
• Support the development and upkeep of data warehouses and databases.
• Work closely with data analysts and data scientists to ensure data availability.
• Document engineering processes and share best practices.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
• Strong interest in data engineering and modern data technologies.
• Good problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficient in SQL.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions).
• Experience with Looker and Terraform.
