Data Platform & DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Data Platform & DevOps Engineer to manage and enhance our Databricks environment. The role ensures platform stability, security, and cost efficiency while supporting data teams through automation and standardized processes.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Databricks workspaces (DEV, TEST, PROD) and manage user access, roles, and permissions.
• Support identity provisioning via Azure AD or AWS IAM and collaborate on connectivity, storage, and security.
• Manage notebook, job, cluster, and SQL Warehouse access; configure clusters and enforce usage policies.
• Maintain Unity Catalog governance, data ownership, and audit readiness.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for Databricks deployments using Git‑based workflows.
• Automate platform tasks with Terraform, Databricks CLI, and REST APIs.
• Monitor platform usage, identify optimization opportunities, and support cost tracking and reporting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Data Platform Engineer.
• Strong English communication skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work in an international, collaborative environment.
• Proactive and structured approach to problem‑solving.

Required skills

• Databricks administration (workspace, Unity Catalog, Account Console).
• Cloud platforms: Azure (preferred) or AWS/GCP.
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform.
• Git, CI/CD concepts, and automation tools.
• Scripting with Python or Bash.
• Identity management with Azure AD or AWS IAM.
• Databricks CLI and REST API usage.
