Deputy HR Manager – HR Administration & Payroll

About the role

Our client, a leading player in the automotive sector in Morocco, is seeking a Deputy HR Manager to support the HR Manager in overseeing HR administration and payroll functions. The role ensures accurate payroll processing, compliance with Moroccan labour legislation, and effective management of employee records.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily HR administration and payroll activities, including variable pay elements, overtime, bonuses, deductions and absences.
• Validate payroll calculations and approve final payroll runs.
• Prepare and submit mandatory social declarations to CNSS, tax authorities and other institutions.
• Maintain employee personnel files, contracts, disciplinary records and termination documents.
• Monitor attendance, working hours, leave and absences, and ensure data accuracy.
• Coordinate with CNSS, labour inspectors, insurance companies and finance for payroll validation and cost control.
• Support labour inspections, audits and CNSS controls.
• Develop and lead the HR administration and payroll team, allocating workloads and monitoring performance.
• Identify payroll risks, implement corrective actions and produce HR reports on headcount, attendance and payroll metrics.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Law or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in HR administration and payroll, preferably in a large industrial environment.
• Proven experience managing a team and supervising payroll processes.
• Strong knowledge of Moroccan labour law, CNSS regulations and payroll taxation.
• Fluent in French and good command of English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems.
• Knowledge of CNSS declarations, social contributions and payroll tax calculations.
