Designer Technician

About the role

Versigent is seeking a Designer Technician to manage project development phases, ensure performance compliance, and oversee the transition from development to serial production. The role combines mechanical design expertise with project coordination in an automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update designs according to OEM specifications.
• Create ATBU layouts, schematics, and routing drawings.
• Design ATBU components and ensure compliance with automotive standards (OEM, ISO, IATF 16949, IPC/WHMA‑A‑620).
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Support design changes driven by customer feedback, cost optimization, or manufacturing constraints.
• Assist prototype and industrialization phases and participate in design reviews.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to design solutions.
• Resolve issues during production and launch while ensuring quality, environmental, health, and safety compliance.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering standards.
• Proactive attitude, strong sense of responsibility, and availability to support project needs.

Required skills

• ATBU layout design.
• Schematic and routing drawing creation.
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Compliance with automotive standards (OEM, ISO, IATF 16949, IPC/WHMA‑A‑620).
• Technical documentation preparation.
