Development and Release Engineer – Glazing & Sealing

About the role

The Development and Release Engineer will lead the Glazing & Sealing component projects, ensuring they meet quality, performance, timing and cost (QCDP) targets. You will work closely with suppliers, purchasing and project teams to bring components from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure completeness and availability of all engineering documentation required for supplier sourcing.
• Lead technical reviews and analyse supplier feedback (FNR), preparing and defending Technical Choice Reports.
• Manage supplier deliverables and convergence during sourcing and development phases.
• Drive component development activities to meet QCDP objectives and deliver project milestones.
• Co‑design with suppliers, monitor deliverables and ensure compliance with APQP and quality processes.
• Lead Product and Process FMEA activities, perform risk assessments and support validation plans.
• Coordinate prototype deliveries, supplier interactions and engineering change management.
• Support manufacturing plants from pilot to launch, providing training, diagnostics and problem‑solving.
