EHS Manager H/F – Kenitra

About the role

CRIT Maroc is looking for an experienced EHS Manager to lead the environmental, health and safety program for its industrial site in Kenitra. The role combines system implementation, regulatory compliance and team leadership to ensure a safe and sustainable operation.

Key responsibilities

• EHS System Management – Deploy, maintain and improve the EHS management system in line with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 standards.
• Compliance & Regulatory Affairs – Ensure strict adherence to the Moroccan Labor Code and environmental legislation, acting as the main liaison with labor inspectors, fire services and environmental authorities.
• Risk Management & Operational Safety – Identify, assess and mitigate risks related to chemicals, machinery and work at heights, supervising safety for employees and subcontractors during construction and production phases.
• Environmental Management – Oversee proper disposal of hazardous waste, monitor emissions (VOCs, wastewater) and support ESG and carbon‑footprint reduction goals.
• Incident & Emergency Management – Lead investigations of accidents or near‑misses, implement corrective actions and maintain fire protection and emergency response plans.
• Culture & Team Building – Recruit and manage a local EHS team, audit suppliers and promote a proactive safety culture across the plant.

Required profile

• Education – Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Safety, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience – At least 5 years of EHS management in an industrial setting, including 2 years in a leadership role.
• Industry background – Experience in demanding sectors such as chemicals, automotive, battery manufacturing or large‑scale construction.
• Technical expertise – Proven mastery of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and the Moroccan legal framework; international certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH) are a strong asset.
• Multicultural environment – Prior work in an international or Asian/Chinese company is highly valued.
• Languages – Fluency in French or Arabic and good English for corporate reporting.
