Electrical Engineer - Embedded Systems for UAVs

About the role

Harmattan AI builds autonomous and scalable defense systems and is expanding its teams after a $200M Series B. As an Electrical Engineer, you will design and develop electronic boards and embedded systems (SoM) for UAVs, such as flight controllers, companion computers and electronic speed controllers.

Key responsibilities

• Design high-performance embedded systems, defining architecture and integrating processors, DDR and Flash memory and peripherals such as embedded computers, sensors and video processing units.
• Create electronic schematics and perform board placement and routing, managing fast signal constraints.
• Work with the Mechanical Department to integrate boards physically into the final product.
• Collaborate with the GNC (Guidance, Navigation and Control) team on accurate sensor integration.
• Resolve EMC challenges while ensuring signal integrity.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic boards and validate them through testing and performance checks.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience designing complex electronic systems.
• Strong problem-solving ability and autonomy; excellent written and verbal communication with people at all levels.
• Commitment to the company's mission and growth plans.
• Experience with robotics or aerospace systems is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of processors and memory domains (DDR, Flash).
• Electronic CAD tools such as Altium.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment.
