Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

NTT DATA is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join its engineering team. You will work on enhancing existing embedded architectures and delivering new software features that meet product road‑maps and customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze current embedded software designs and implement improvements aligned with roadmap and client requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and integrate new features into existing embedded systems.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and field issues.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, CPU utilization, and power consumption.
• Support hardware revisions, platform migrations, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure coding standards compliance, and collaborate with hardware, validation, and manufacturing teams.
• Participate in verification, validation, integration testing, and support product releases and maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in embedded software development using C/C++.
• Strong understanding of microcontrollers, processors and real‑time embedded systems.
• Familiarity with debugging tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and software debuggers.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and version‑control systems (Git, SVN).
