Engineer I

About the role

We are looking for an Engineer I to join our facilities team in Fnideq, Morocco. The role focuses on responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of building systems and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines; carry necessary equipment.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to other shifts.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping and engineering inventory.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs and sprinkler maintenance.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to follow lockout/tagout safety procedures.
• Capability to lift objects up to 50 lb unaided and handle heavier items with assistance.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and strong communication skills.
