Engineering & Maintenance Department Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering & Maintenance Department Manager to ensure and oversee all system transactions related to the department, update production process documentation, participate in new projects transferred to the site, and manage all activities related to the Maintenance department within the unit. Additionally, the role coordinates the implementation of new processes or projects within the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Act as process owner for multiple production flows, defining and managing activity plans for new projects and ensuring successful execution.
• Lead and train team leaders, organize daily engineering meetings, and coordinate cross‑functional project activities and engineering changes.
• Plan and implement layout changes, engineering modifications, and ensure compliance with Aptiv standards during design.
• Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives, monitor targets, and manage cost‑reduction programs across projects.
• Coordinate PPAP preparation, first‑production samples, and contribute to control‑plan development with the Quality team.
• Plan departmental activities, manage budget adherence, and participate in weekly technical meetings with plant leadership.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental regulations, with authority to stop unsafe processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Electromechanics and Industrial Automation.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive or plastics industry.
