Engineering Manager – Build High‑Performing Engineering Team

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and grow our Morocco‑based engineering team, ensuring they have the environment to deliver high‑impact defense systems. In this people‑focused role you will provide technical mentorship, drive autonomy, and shape engineering processes across software and electrical disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day people management for Morocco engineers, including performance reviews, career development, and training.
• Lead local engineering recruitment from day one, managing the end‑to‑end hiring process in coordination with Talent Acquisition.
• Drive the transition from remote steering to local autonomy by establishing management infrastructure for independent operation.
• Identify, design, and implement standardized engineering processes for both software and electrical teams without sacrificing execution speed.
• Assess tooling needs, prioritize demands, evaluate off‑the‑shelf versus custom solutions, and ensure tools serve multiple organisational needs.
• Contribute to organisational structure decisions, reorganising modules and initiating changes as required.
• Act as the bridge between the engineering team and cross‑functional leadership, aligning priorities, dependencies, and expectations.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in a technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with at least 2–3 years in an engineering management or team‑lead role.
• Proven ability to manage and develop engineers through performance reviews, career frameworks, and skills development.
• Demonstrated capacity to handle large‑scale, complex projects and deliver innovative solutions.
• Experience building or formalising engineering processes in a fast‑moving environment.
