Engineering Manager – Utility Scale Solar PV Projects

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead the technical execution of the 633 MWp solar PV plant and its 1,324 MWh battery energy storage system in Midelt, Morocco. Working within an integrated project team, you will ensure that design, construction and commissioning meet contractual, quality and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction and commissioning of large‑scale renewable plants.
• Coordinate design reviews, engineering deliverables and approvals with PMC, EPC and owner’s engineering teams.
• Manage technical interfaces (HV, civils, PV) and ensure compliance with Clean Energy standards.
• Oversee field engineering, factory inspections, audits and technical risk identification.
• Recommend technology or infrastructure changes to improve performance and reduce operational costs.
• Monitor projects from techno‑economic perspectives to maximise value creation.
• Establish and maintain knowledge‑management practices and lessons‑learned repositories.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing utility‑scale solar PV and battery storage projects.
• Strong background in engineering coordination, design review and construction supervision.
• Ability to identify technical risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
